Are you looking to “step out of the box” this weekend and try something different in the Capital City? Check out some of our BTR360 ideas for Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30, 2014:

“The Nature and Culture of Louisiana” Art Exhibition. Stop by this Sunday at the Botanic Gardens at Burden, 4560 Essen Lane (Map Here). Come see many of Louisiana’s artist’s depictions of our state’s natural resources, including flora and fauna at the 4th annual Brush With Burden art exhibition. The public is welcome from 1 PM-4 PM at the Steele Memorial Orangerie.

The 12th Annual BR Spring Garden Show, held Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the John M Parker Coliseum at LSU. The entire coliseum floor will be magically transformed into a beautiful world of gardens and plants. A variety of garden and patio products will be on display for purchase as well. Also, stop by the Louisiana State and Regional Chili Cook-off right next door.

The 5th Annual Spring Car Show will be held at the LSU Campus, next to the John M. Parker Coliseum on Highland Road on March 30, 2014. There will, of course, be lots of fun, not to mention food and entertainment for all. Registration is $25 from 9 AM to 12 Noon. Judging is from Noon to 1 PM. Awards announced at 2 PM. All car models are years are welcome for entry. Event proceeds will benefit the Greater BR Food Bank.

Third Day & Skillet LIVE IN CONCERT the River Center Arena, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. One Stage, One Ticket, One Night. Saturday March 29, 2014 at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6 PM. Artists and groups include Third Day (Official YouTube), Skillet, (Official YouTube), Mandisa, Brandon Heath, Peter Furler (former Newsboys lead singer), and We As Human. Presented by Food for the Hungry. $99 VIP ticket available include meet and greet with photo, floor seat in first five rows.
