See Watercolor Exhibition at Louisiana State Archives, April 1-30

Original watercolor painting are on display at the Louisiana State Archives until Wednesday, April, 30, 2013. Check out this map for location in Baton Rouge: Louisiana State Archives.

 

The exhibit rules state that the paintings must be new to the member show and have never been shown previously at the LA archives location.

The Louisiana Watercolor Society was founded in 1968. It’s purpose is to further the art of water media painting. This medium is defined as painting in transparent or opaque watercolor or a mixture of both on paper and “in unvarnished water-soluble casein, acrylic, and gouche on paper.”

Update: Open the first Saturday of each Month 9 am to 5 pm. Open Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.
